Geo Caching
What an adventure this was! This was the 2nd time we attempted to find a geochach on our own. We tried yesterday out by Oatman and had no luck. Today we were determined to locate. We hiked for 2 hours up and down ruff terraine and finally located the cache. We are heading back out tomorrow to try and find some more. The weather was great today. We took the boat out, but did not even have one bite. We are loving the sun and are dreading going back to the cold.
Oatman, Arizona
We visited Oatman, Arizona yesterday. Oatman began 0ver 100 years ago as a mining tent camp and quickly became a flourishing gold-mining center. In 1915, two miners struck a $10 million gold find, and within a year, the town's population grew to more than 3,500. But both the population and mining booms were short-lived. In 1921, a fire burned down many of the smaller shacks in town, and three years later, the main mining company, United Eastern Mines, shut down operations for good. Oatman survived by catering to travelers on old U.S. Route 66. The town now survives from vistors coming to visit the authentic old western town with burros roaming the streets and gunfights staged on weekends. GREAT TIME!

Driving the boat!
Fun With Dan & Evelyn
We had a great time the past 3 days with Dan and Evelyn. We had lots of fun. We began the time with dirt bike riding. Everyone was doing good (except me and my 4 crashes) until Dan and Evelyn about rolled the 4 wheeler. As you can see in the picture, Evelyn probably saved them both with her great moves. She screamed loud enough for most of Arizona to hear. Next we took them on a boat tour of the Colorado River. Finally, the girls spent all day at Lake Havasu hitting all the garage sales while the boys attended a "Man up Conference" at Calvary Chapel Lake Havasu. We had a wonderful time visiting with them.

Another day of vacation
Today was a pretty laid back day. Richard and I went riding around the Parker hills. It was beautiful riding with some good trails. The kids stayed back at the house working on school. Then we all went to Parker to do laundry and meet up with Dan and Evelyn Peterson. They are going to stay a couple days, so we are looking forward to hanging out with them.

White/Clark Investment
This is the new house we partnered to buy with Brent and Stacy Clark. We were both looking for a vacation home, so we decided this would work for both of us. I really hope they like it. It is probably 4,000 square feet, has a basketball court, slide, river access, and hot tub all in one. We will send them their portion of the bill very soon. We hope they love it. We know how they love the water and basketball. What else could we ask for?

School Work
Geo Cach
Our newest sport is Geo caching. This was so fun. Some friends, Ernie and Lynn, graciously taught our family how to do this. We had a blast. We were able to find 3 hidden geocaches today. These pictures are of all us out investigating. We also had a great time today playing in the water. The kids are collecting sea shells to make necklaces. We finished the day with a big game of bingo at the club house. Riley one twice and was pretty excited. Thanks Grandma Rosie for getting it all set up for us.

Sunday - our day of rest
We had a pretty relaxing day. Richard, Ish, and the kids began the day nice and early with a golf game. They were pretty impressed with their day. The only hit 3 different vehicles with golf balls. 2 of the owners seemed o.k., one not so happy. The day continued with relaxing in the sun and doing some reading. Next we played bean bag competition. Riley and I were the big winners. Then we had hours of card games. Finally, we ended the day with some good old school work. The kids were not very happy, but they had to do it tonight or they would not be able to go fishing first thing in the morning. We had lots of laughs with Grandma and Grandpa today and also enjoyed our time with Ish, Elaine, and Ginger, Grandma's and Grandpa's friends. It was a little cooler today with highs only around 78 and spurts of wind. We are very glad that the Harbison family is home. We missed everyone at church today and hope everyone had a wonderful spring break.

Surviving the 90 degree weather
Our first day at Parker was spent enjoying the heat. It was a wonderful 90 degrees. It was
probably only bearable because we were playing in the water. The water was freezing, but as soon as the boat pulled you up it felt great. Hayley and I both wake boarded which felt so great to be playing in the water. The water is crystal clear here. We ended the day with a game of golf, which was quite comical since none of us have any idea what we were doing. We all attempted to hit the ball like a bunch of baseball players. We only made it through 4 holes before it was dark, so we must finish tomorrow. We are all exhausted for a first date and a little on the pink side (especially Hayley). Hope everyone is enjoying there spring break. Keep praying for our wonderful friend, Will Harbison. Miss you all.

Rock climbing in Mesquite
Mesquite
We spent the first 3 days of our vacation in Mesquite, Nevada. The weather was wonderful. We started the trip by hanging out at the pool, then we went bicycle riding around town. On Tuesday, we woke up and dirt bike riding. This was amazing. We rode to part of the backside of the Grand canyon. Beautiful views and great riding. The most amazing thing was being in 70 degree weather one minute and then in snow the next.
